Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person position located in Evansville, IN
Repairs damaged bodies and body parts of automotive vehicles such as automobiles, light trucks, and SUVs by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities- Examines damaged vehicles, compares to estimate cost of repairs, and writes up any supplements.
- Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
- Positions dolly block against surface of dented area and beats opposite surface to remove dents.
- Fills depressions with body filler.
- Removes damaged fenders, panels, grills, and bolts or welds with wire feed or arc welder and replaces parts in position.
- Straightens bent automobile frames with pneumatic frame straightening machine.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
- Aims headlights and bleeds hydraulic brake system.
- Primes surfaces after performing body repairs.
- Replaces defective mechanical parts.
- Stays up to date on all I‑CAR, ASE, and manufacturer training.
- Abides by all federal, state and local regulations regarding spray gun equipment and personal protection equipment such as respirator compliance.
- Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
- Basic computer, math, and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Positive attitude, ability to listen and follow directions.
- Performs duties with little or no supervision.
- Can work weekends and overtime.
- Honest, ethical, dependable, and a team player.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
High School Diploma and 2 years related training or 4 years of training and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid Driver’s License and good driving record.
