Position OverviewWe are seeking an Integrated Systems Technician to join our Architectural Sales Integration (ASI) team. This role is responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining low-voltage electronic access control and security systems in commercial and light industrial environments. Our ASI team specializes in integrated building safety and security solutions, including:
- Access control systems
- Security camera systems (CCTV)
- Audio and paging systems
- Smoking and vaping detection systems
- Technicians will work extensively with commercial door, frames and hardware, including the integration of electronic locking and access control components.
- This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with technology, troubleshooting systems, and delivering high-quality service in dynamic job site environments.
- Install and service low-voltage security systems in new construction and retrofit environments
- Program and configure access control, alarm, and camera systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades
- Collaborate with project teams on site planning, compliance, inspections, and system commissioning
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers and system manufacturers
- Build strong customer relationships through training, service, and ongoing support
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Assist team members as needed to support a collaborative work environment
- Terminate and install devices such as card readers, access control hardware, automatic operators, cameras and security systems
- Work with mechanical door hardware such as door closures, panic hardware, hinges, locks and related components as required for integrated security installations
- Dress and terminate security panels within IDF/MDF environments
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing or servicing low-voltage or security systems (access control experience preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot technical systems and diagnose issues effectively
- Experience using power tools and installation equipment
- Experience with IP-based camera systems, network-based architecture application design and IT networking
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system diagrams
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes is a plus
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and lifts
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in non-climate-controlled environments
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Access control and CCTV system installation or service
- Experience in commercial construction or field service environments
- Knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage systems
- Experience working in IDF/MDF rooms
