AboutEvansville State Hospital
Evansville State Hospital is one of the Indiana State Psychiatric Hospitals who are committed to the mission of Hope and Recovery. Residing on 88 acres on the east side of Evansville, Ind., our facility provides medical treatment for chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders from our dedicated team of psychiatrists and advanced practice professionals. Active Treatment helps our patients achieve their goals directed towards living in the most non-restrictive environment possible.
Our team of professionals assist our patients in the treatment process involving medical staff, nursing, psychology, social work, rehabilitation therapy and our community integration program. Evansville State Hospital continues to maintain accreditation through The Joint Commission as an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital as well as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification as a Psychiatric Medicare/Medicaid Hospital.
Salary StatementThe salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day In The LifeThe essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Compile information relative to the assigned program area.
- Coordinate correspondence for information requests.
- Organize and maintain current and historical files related to the program.
- Organize program reports, applications, and maintain consultative services.
- Maintain and organize program assets.
- Prepare all program related training materials.

What You'll Need For SuccessYou must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
- General knowledge of the program area.
- Basic knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the assigned program area and its affects upon other agency operations.
- Ability to gather and compile program materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.
- Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
