Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Student Behavioral Coach to add to our team of professionals. This position will work on our School-Based Services team in the Child & Family Services Division. Student Behavioral Coaches provide school and community-based case management, skills training/development, and other services to children and their families throughout our assigned counties in southwestern Indiana, including Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, and Warrick.

This position may be designated as either a 10-month or 12-month role, based on the selected candidate’s preference. For 10-month employees, the work schedule aligns with the school calendar (August 1 – May 31). Employees are expected to return for the next school year.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Provide school and community-based case management, skills training/development, and other services to children and their families.

Work with children and their families referred from the school as well as the Department of Child Services, Juvenile Probation, System of Care, Southwestern assessment team and therapists, and other referral sources.

Maintain appropriate records of services to reflect patient progress and document treatment plans and goals.

Maintain documentation and submit reports according to established time frames.

Communicate professionally, make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or other closely related field.

Candidates must possess interest and ability to work with children with serious emotional problems and work well in a team setting.

Previous direct services with children or related experience are preferred.

Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement, and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.

Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
