Lead Engineer iSeries

Overview

One Main Financial is a successful and fast-growing financial services company. We are looking for a COBOL iSeries IT Software Lead Engineer to join our Information Technology team.

• Lead the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and other engineers/developers to find the best solution possible.
• Lead a project/program from initiation to delivery and warranty.
• Own the quality of code and perform your own testing.
• Participate in design and code review processes.
• Be flexible and willing to accept changes in priorities; multitask as necessary.
• Mentor and guide junior developers on the team.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years with at least 8 years programming and 5 years analysis.
• Complete SDLC project knowledge.

• iSeries development expertise in technologies such as ILE COBOL, ILE CL, and DB2.
• Knowledge of iSeries APIs, Data Queues, User Queues, multithreading, Journaling, and IBM iSeries file systems (e.g., Library-based systems).
• Experience with SQL and MQ Series is a plus.
• Perform complex application programming activities on iSeries ILE COBOL, ILE CL, and DB2.
