Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Evansville, IN, with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Compensation details: drivers on this account earn $1,390+ per week. Positions include weekly pay, and various pay components described below.

• Weekly pay
• Weekly guarantee: $1,390 per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.51 per mile with 2,500 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $9.00 per stop with 5–10 stops per week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per drop/hook
• Shutdown bonus: $2,000 paid in 2 installments
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday
• Start time:
  Open to bid system for routes based on seniority

Local driving details and requirements: deliveries within a 300-mile radius, local home daily, tractor type Day Cab, trailer type Dry Van 53’, no touch freight (auto parts), and strong backing skills required.

• Trucks are 36 months or newer
• Roadside maintenance available 24/7 via company facilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience in the past 3 years or
• 2 years’ experience in the past 5 years or
• 5 years’ experience in the past 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
