Admission Marketer

Our location is seeking a Marketer/Admissions Coordinator to join our team.

This is an external marketing/admissions position where the ideal candidate will assistance our facility health and administrative teams in developing and strengthening relationships with new & existing referral sources who refer residents to our facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Spend time focused on sales activities and help meet census goals by working with the facility's administrative team, through external networking and marketing of all featured patient care services and the resulting outcomes of care to coordinate a consistent resident flow into the nursing facility.

  • Create and implement marketing plans to achieve maximum occupancy goals.

  • Meet with prospective residents and families and conduct tours as needed.

  • Maintain an accurate referral source contact list and follow up with all leads and referral sources in a timely manner.

  • Assess and respond to referrer within one hour of receipt of all facility resident placement inquiries. Facilitates admission decisions and ensures a positive experience for each resident and their family.

  • Execute, collect and review all necessary documentation for admissions and Medicaid applications.

  • Implement a system to follow-up with all inquiries that have not yet been converted to an admission. Maintain statistics indicating customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges and marketing activity and submit to regional coordinator as requested.

  • Works with the Administrator and facility staff to ensure consistent, effective admissions, discharge and transfer meetings are conducted for all residents.

  • Candidate must be detail oriented with solid computer skills

  • Should possess a 'can do' attitude and be able to work well with all team members.

  • Experience with processing healthcare/nursing home admission agreements with a fundamental understanding of the Medicaid application process.

  • A strong ability to build relationships with external referral sources.
