Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Summer Exploration Academy is designed to provide students with engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that introduce a variety of career pathways, workforce opportunities, and real‑world skills. Students will participate in interactive programming that promotes career awareness, collaboration, communication, leadership development, and problem‑solving through project‑based and experiential learning activities.
The Site Coordinator will oversee the daily operations and implementation of the Summer Exploration Academy while supporting instructors, students, and families throughout the duration of the program. The Site Coordinator will help ensure that the program operates safely, efficiently, and successfully while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
Working Times4 days of summer programming (August 3rd – August 6th) Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
15 additional hours for program planning, outreach, coordination, and preparation.
Required orientation date TBD.
$40/hour total stipend up to a total maximum stipend of $1,400.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate the daily operations and implementation of the Summer Exploration Academy.
- Support student arrival, dismissal, attendance tracking, transitions, and daily program logistics.
- Communicate regularly with instructors, students, families, and district staff regarding program expectations and attendance concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records and communicate behavioral or safety concerns to program administration in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure that materials, supplies, and program spaces are organized and prepared for daily activities.
- Support student engagement activities, enrichment experiences, and culminating showcase events.
- Assist with the coordination of breakfast/lunch procedures, student supervision, and daily safety protocols.
- Participate in all required orientation sessions, planning meetings, and program preparation activities.
- Ensure that all program activities maintain appropriate safety expectations, supervision, and behavioral supports.
- Troubleshoot day‑to‑day program needs and support staff with operational concerns throughout the program.
- Experience coordinating or supervising youth programming.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to support a positive and inclusive learning environment for students and staff.
- Experience coordinating summer, enrichment, or extended learning programs.
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
- Experience supporting diverse learners, including English learners and students with disabilities.
- Experience with student attendance systems, family outreach, and program logistics.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
