About Encore Boston Harbor
Encore Boston Harbor features 210,000 square‑feet of gaming space including more than 3,000 slot machines and 240 table games. Situated on the Mystic River in Everett, Massachusetts, and connected to Boston Harbor, Encore Boston Harbor boasts 671 spacious hotel rooms, a spa, salon and fitness center, specialty retail shops, 15 dining and lounge venues and more than 50,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting spaces.
The grounds feature a six‑acre Harborwalk with pedestrian and bicycle paths that provide access to the waterfront, an event lawn, public art and ornate floral displays. It is the largest private, single‑phase development in the history of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
As an Encore Boston Harbor Surveillance Specialist, you will be part of what’s commonly referred to as the “eye in the sky”. The Surveillance department is comprised of an excessively motivated, passionate and positive team. We persist in identifying areas within the operations of the casino that are ripe for advantage play, cheating and/or theft. Through clandestine methods, the Surveillance team will always follow and monitor currency transactions to record and report any irregularities we note.
The bigger— the better! It is also our responsibility to ensure asset protection by tracking all movement within Encore Boston Harbor to confirm that MA Gaming rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures and safety standards are not violated.
- Identify potential advantage play, cheating, or theft within casino operations.
- Follow and monitor currency transactions and record irregularities.
- Track movement within the property to enforce rules, regulations, policies, and safety standards.

$22.88 to $27.50 an hour (full‑time, open availability).
Qualifications- Age: 21 years or older.
- Must obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of video surveillance or previous gaming experience preferred.
- General computer skills and basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Read, analyze, and interpret policy manuals and related documents; respond to inquiries; write detailed instructions and correspondence.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Basic mathematical calculations with emphasis on gaming payouts; decipher and maintain reports.
Requires regular talking and hearing; standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, stretching, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus. Must lift or maneuver at least 30 pounds and perform varied standing/walking tasks.
Work EnvironmentModerate to loud noise depending on location. Must interact professionally with guests and staff.
