Registered Vascular Technologist
The Cardiovascular Department at Cambridge Health Alliance provides a full range of tests to evaluate the health of a patient's heart and blood vessels. As an Echocardiography Accredited Facility, the lab utilizes state-of-the-art equipment for services including Echocardiograms, Electrocardiograms (EKG), various stress tests, and vascular testing. The lab also offers Holter and Cardiac event monitors and runs a device clinic for in-person and remote checks on pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
These services are available at two locations, Cambridge Hospital and Everett Hospital.
Position Summary
As a Registered Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in patient care by performing high-quality vascular examinations. You will work closely with our medical team, ensuring that all procedures are performed safely, documented accurately in our PACS system, and communicated effectively to our reading physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Exams:
Conduct vascular examinations following established protocols, ensuring correct patient positioning and safety.
Image & Data Management:
Evaluate exams for technical accuracy, manage PACS documentation, and release completed studies to the reading Vascular MD.
Clinical Communication:
Verify patient requisitions, collect relevant clinical data, and relay critical findings to physicians and nurses.
Workflow Coordination:
Prioritize critical care, manage daily scheduling changes, and keep the department running efficiently.
System Documentation:
Utilize EPIC, EMR, and PACS to review patient data, enter notes, and edit or correct procedures as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Active Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) credential.
