Overview
FCC & Maintenance Operator/Dispatch (Part Time)
The Encore Boston Harbor Fire Command Center & Maintenance Operator will be responsible for monitoring, testing, receiving, and relaying information, instructions, and work orders to facilities team leaders under standard and emergency conditions. The Operator will receive, record, and report on information regarding work performed (corrective, preventative, or project work), work in progress, requests for assistance, testing of equipment, construction, and fire safety issues.
The FCC must be manned 24/7 and never be left unattended. The Operator is central to the safety and wellbeing of the facility’s guests and employees.
- Actively contributes to the testing of the fire suppression and protection system
- Monitors the stair pressurization system
- Effectively manages the Elevator/Escalators Maintenance System for maintenance, requests and inspections
- Effectively manages the Building Automated System, monitoring high priority equipment, alarms and processing requests
- Monitors the Electrical Distribution System
- Effectively manages the service request system documenting requests and updates on the status of work-in-progress and completed
- Dispatches work orders for resort requests and turn-ons, shut-offs, emergencies and other repairs
- Enters comments on fieldwork performed
- Performs required preventative maintenance throughout the resort to support safety compliance
- Communicates property maintenance needs through radio, phone, and other means to facilities team
- Communicates equipment shut-downs and maintenance that will impact HOH employees and guests to internal departments for awareness and situational support
- Responds to requests from Facilities Leads, Managers, and technicians
- Receives calls from internal departments regarding emergency turn-ons, shut-offs, no water or low pressure, hazardous conditions and emergencies; prioritizes requests for action; answers inquiries
- Coordinates with local fire department for hot-work, check-in/out, fire box status, and emergencies within FCC responsibility
- Maintains memoranda, records and files (division activity records, labor logs, work orders, inventories, monthly activity reports, fire hydrant reports, fire alarm reports, permits, preventative maintenance records, certificates of occupancy, emergency evacuation procedures, and FCC records)
- Manages guest relations with tact and diplomacy; addresses guest and team member issues as appropriate
- Manages multiple priorities and meets deadlines, often in high-pressure situations
- Participates in departmental goals, policies, and procedures; identifies key drivers of success
- Contributes to departmental performance, policy accuracy, confidentiality, and reporting
- Delivers and maintains a high level of property-wide service and satisfaction
- Contributes to company-wide communication and best practices
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, laws, rules, regulations and controls
- Promotes Encore Boston Harbor core values and standards
- Maintains professional relations with team members, contractors, and the community as an ambassador of the Encore brand
- Works with safety as a priority and follows safety standards
- Maintains knowledge of industry through continuing education and training

Certifications:
21 years of age or above. Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Valid Massachusetts Driver License preferred. - Education and/or
Experience:
High school or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of emergency service, dispatch, convention, customer service or related experience preferred. Public safety dispatch experience a plus.
