CHA Perioperative Services provides surgical care across many specialties, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. The department supports a wide range of services including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, Vascular, and Endoscopy.

• Manage all aspects of perioperative patient care in the pre‑operative and immediate post‑operative phases through discharge.
• Provide nursing care in pre‑anesthesia testing, Surgical Day Care, and PACU.
• Perform pre‑admission, pre‑op, and PACU nurse duties.
• Make critical decisions and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Massachusetts nursing license in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
• Two years of PACU or critical‑care experience, including recovery of patients under general, regional, or local anesthesia and moderate sedation preferred.
• Variable start times and on‑call obligations required (weekdays, weekends, holidays).

Pay range may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
