Mystique - Wok Cook

Brief Description

• Utilizing the Wok to prepare orders in accordance with set recipes
• Preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods in accordance with set recipes, cooking methods and portion sizes
• Preparing dishes and sauces
• Setting up, maintaining, and cleaning stations in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills while adhering to restaurant guidelines
• Ensuring quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including good personal hygiene, cleaning of surfaces and sweeping of floors, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures
• Observing safety and security procedures, determining appropriate action beyond guidelines and reporting potentially unsafe conditions
• Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift
• Other duties to be assigned based on venues requirements

• At least 1 year previous experience in a fast paced, high volume bar/restaurant
• Direct experience in Asian cuisine is required
• A neat and professional appearance
• Ability to work in a high volume/fast paced work environment
• Proper knowledge of use and maintenance of all equipment in station
• Ability to work at efficient and consistent pace
• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with co-workers
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
