Inside Parts Salesperson

Position Responsibilities

This position is responsible for greeting and acknowledging all customers, both external and internal. Demonstrate the company's commitment to superior customer satisfaction by treating all customers fairly and with honesty.

• Responsible for selling heavy-duty truck parts to meet customer needs in a timely manner.
• The candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in-person, over the phone, and by email with customers to determine and fill specific needs; emphasizing product features, benefits, and current promotions; quote prices; and prepare sales order forms.
• Must have the ability to locate and retrieve inventory within the warehouse for external customer purchase; find external availability when parts are not in stock; help resolve customer issues, concerns, and complaints to a level where both the customer and dealership are satisfied with the outcome; complete all required and necessary paperwork, including packing slips; purchase orders; warranties; core returns; and new part returns.
• Serve in other capacities within the department when needed for the well-being of the company.

A successful candidate will exhibit a strong problem-solving ability, thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess an above average computer proficiency, be self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, and have attention to detail. Experience with heavy duty truck parts is a plus!

Position Requirements

• Experience with heavy duty truck parts is a plus!
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years' experience in a customer service sales position working with parts.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
