This position is Full‑Time, 40 hours/week. Third shift: 11:30 P‑8 A and every other weekend.

Pay Grade: $17.40–27.84 (Actual offer rates are based upon the applicant’s relevant job experience and the requirements of the position)

Staffing Secretary Responsibilities
  • Creates schedule rotations for all new hires, finding replacements for any call‑ins or absences.
  • Prepares and maintains an accurate schedule for all shifts in the Nursing department.
  • Monitors and keeps track of employee attendance and time‑off requests. Notifies the units and managers of call‑ins as necessary.
  • Performs all assigned secretarial duties.
  • Provides administrative support for electronic staffing & scheduling system.
  • Serves as liaison to nursing managers/CNO to develop new sources for float pool.
  • Assists in obtaining nursing care staff information needed for daily posting requirements.
  • Makes written or verbal reports and recommendations to nurse management concerning staffing and scheduling issues.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all‑inclusive.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a clerk‑typist, secretary, or unit secretary. Staffing/scheduling experience preferred.
