The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for a permanent Correctional Records Supervisor (CRS) within the Revoke and Return Unit. This position is a full‑time, permanent position located in the Tacoma Community Justice Center (CJC) in Tacoma, WA.
As the Correctional Records Supervisor, the incumbent will direct the work of the Revoke and Return Unit to ensure compliance with appropriate laws and agency policy. They will supervise staff as well as act as the technical expert regarding revoke and return sentences for incarcerated and supervised individuals’ records.
The DOC Revoke and Return Unit will assist in the DOC mission by calculating, entering and documenting when incarcerated individuals’ alternative sentences are sanctioned to serve the remaining term of confinement due to a reclass or revocation. These sentences include DOSA, SSOSA, FOSA, MHA, CCB, LTJ, AMJ and Commutations. In addition to alternative sentences, the CRS will calculate and enter sentence structure and time accounting (SSTA) for an individual when sanctioned to the remainder of their confinement term for community custody prison (CCP) and community placement (CP) sentences.
This unit will work in partnership with the other DOC records offices, such as the Tolling Unit, Violator Unit, prison reception centers, and other DOC institutions and records offices. As a subject matter expert, this position plays a vital role in improving public safety by ensuring that offenders serve the appropriate length of confinement following a DOC or Court‑ordered sanction.

Job Duties- Manage, mentor, and provide supervisory direction to Correctional Records Technicians (CRT) and Correctional Records Technician leads (CRTL) in the Revoke and Return Unit.
- Direct and supervise CRT and CRTL in prioritizing and processing workload.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams to meet and train virtually in the absence of in‑person availability.
- Track and report monthly established metrics for statistical data for the unit by the 10th of each month.
- Recognize workload coverage issues and problem‑solve solutions.
- Provide onboarding and continued on‑the‑job training for staff on the use of offender database systems (OMNI), Revised Code of Washington (RCWs), DOC Policy, Records processes, application of public disclosure laws, and criminal history record information laws.
- Provide support in preparation, training, implementation, and project assignments to agency administrators and records leadership in response to legislative impacts.
- Maintain open communication with your direct reports by scheduling additional one‑on‑one conferences as needed. Provide feedback and support to the CRS/CRTL.
- Maintain centralization of DOSA Revoke/Reclasses, CCP Return/CP Terminates, MHA Revoke, FOSA Revoke, SSOSA Revoke, CCB Revoke, LTJ Revoke, AMJ Revoke, Commutation Revoke by conducting initial review/second review for the calculation of incarcerated individual’s sentences and complete OMNI modification entries.
