Library Assistant; Egyptian Nationals) in Washington, D.C.

As a Library Assistant at our prestigious library in Washington DC you will play a vital role in providing efficient and effective support to our patrons. This is a full-time position suitable for Egyptian nationals who are looking for an entry-level role without requiring any previous experience in the field.

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the library including checking books in and out, shelving books and maintaining inventory
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering inquiries and assisting with research needs
• Help patrons navigate the library's online catalog and databases
• Process new book acquisitions and prepare them for circulation
• Assist with organizing and promoting library programs and events
• Keep the library clean and orderly by monitoring study areas, shelves and other spaces

• Must be an Egyptian national with legal authorization to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent education required; bachelors degree preferred but not mandatory
• Fluent spoken English is not mandatory but preferred; basic written English skills required for communication purposes
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
• Comfortable using basic computer software applications such as Microsoft Office
