Job Summary
This position functions as an experienced automotive service technician capable of diagnosing, repairing, and servicing most vehicle components with minimal supervision. The Automotive Technician performs work in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards, ensuring repairs are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.

- Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions and perform required repairs.
- Use diagnostic equipment, tools, and procedures to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Road test vehicles when required to verify repair quality and vehicle performance.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with service advisors regarding additional work needed, parts availability, and repair timelines.
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts for assigned jobs.
- Save and tag parts as required for warranty or customer requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and in accordance with OSHA and dealership standards.
- Report any safety issues, equipment defects, or hazards immediately to management.
- Keep current with manufacturer technical bulletins and participate in required training programs.
- Adhere to all company policies, scripts, and customer service standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with dealership standards.
- Support management initiatives related to revenue growth, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high ethical standards and represent the dealership professionally at all times.
- Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping expectations.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina and endurance to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, and wet environments.
- Full Time, minimum 40 hours per week. May include weekends, holidays, bells, back-to-back shifts, early openings, and late closing. Schedule maintained and approved by Service Manager.
