Procurement Specialist

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Procurement Specialist opportunity.

• Issue and manage purchase orders to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow up with vendors to confirm order status and ensure on-time delivery aligned with need-by dates
• Perform basic sourcing activities for parts and materials as required
• Review and track order confirmations to ensure accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate logistics, including shipment tracking and resolving delivery issues
• Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier communications, and delivery status
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on order status, risks, and delays
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflows

• 1–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support roles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
• Effective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment

• Experience issuing purchase orders and managing vendor follow-ups
• Familiarity with procurement and workflow tools such as Procurify and Jira
• Experience with logistics coordination and shipment tracking
• Exposure to manufacturing or hardware environments
