Financial Analyst, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
ISS STOXX is hiring a Corporate Governance Research Analyst to join the Latin America Benchmark Research team, with a special focus on the Brazilian market. The role involves research, proxy analysis, and policy guideline development for publicly‑traded companies.
Responsibilities- Read and understand company filings with the Brazilian Securities Regulator (CVM) and other public disclosures to distill corporate governance, financial, and industry information for drafting proxy analyses and vote recommendations.
- Validate and ensure accurate collection of company data, including financials, director profiles, and remuneration data for proxy analysis reports.
- Write timely and accurate reports using quantitative and qualitative analysis, communicating technical information to clients.
- Develop thought‑leadership papers based on ISS STOXX data and market developments tied to regulatory changes and corporate governance trends.
- Contribute to policy guideline development for Latin American markets.
- Collaborate in training contingent employees, including creating comprehensive training materials.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, plus relevant experience in governance, finance, accounting, law, or related corporate fields.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required; fluency in Spanish a bonus.
- Familiarity with Latin American regulators and stock exchanges, especially Brazil.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of corporate governance issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, self‑driven work ethic, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment.
- Team‑orientated mindset and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak proxy season (March & April).
- Hybrid work schedule: minimum three days per week in office.
- Peak season:
March to mid‑April, with potential overtime, evenings, or weekends.
- Washington, DC:
Modern, open‑floor office on Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest DC, including onsite gym and convenient metro access.
- Base salary range: $65,000–$75,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and education; eligibility for performance‑based incentives.
