Risk Control Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range is $ - $. The actual salary will be determined by factors such as scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, and other conditions of employment. Employees are also eligible for performance‑based cash incentive awards.
Responsibilities- Maintain a consistent field presence, spending approximately 20% - 50% of the time on site with customers, traveling as required.
- Consult with clients on strategies for identifying hazards, evaluating existing controls, and coordinating delivery of Risk Control services.
- Analyze losses to identify trends and ensure the comprehensive plan addresses loss leaders with appropriate resources.
- Negotiate and manage client expectations to achieve a balance between service and cost.
- Influence clients to ensure commitment to service plans and implementation of recommendations.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting, brokers, claims, and Risk Control service teams.
- Write technically detailed reports that communicate risk assessment and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Insurance industry knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical aptitude and detail‑oriented mindset.
- Superior written and verbal communication.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with others.
- Experience in a collaborative environment.
- Critical‑thinking skills.
- Influencing skills that drive business needs.
- Negotiating skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ability to give and receive coaching and feedback.
- Relevant certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM.
- Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or a related field such as occupational/environmental health and safety, science, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or relevant military experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- State‑specific certification or ability to attain one where required.
