Job Summary

Porch Group, a leading vertical software and insurance platform, is seeking a National Accounts Leader to build and scale the National Accounts organization. This role will oversee a team of National Account Managers responsible for the company’s largest and most strategic agency groups, networks, franchises, and aggregators. The National Accounts Leader will own account strategy, drive premium growth and partner retention, and serve as a senior escalation point for external partners and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development – Coach and develop a high‑performance team of National Account Managers, set goals, KPIs, accountability frameworks, succession plans, and support professional development.
  • National Account Strategy & Growth – Define and execute overarching national account strategy, segmentation, coverage models, and growth priorities. Oversee tailored account plans for top‑tier agency groups to maximize distribution and market share.
  • Executive Relationship Management – Serve as the senior relationship owner and escalation point for the most strategic agency partners. Engage with C‑level executives, act as a trusted advisor, and identify operational improvement and product expansion opportunities.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership – Partner closely with underwriting, product, marketing, operations, and technology teams to align account needs with internal capabilities and influence product roadmap and underwriting strategy.
  • Performance Management & Analytics – Own national account performance reporting, use data to identify trends and opportunities, and provide executive‑level updates on performance and strategy.
  • Market & Industry Leadership – Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving agency business models. Translate insights into strategic recommendations and represent the organization at industry events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in insurance distribution, sales leadership, or national account management, with deep exposure to independent agents, aggregators, franchises, or large agency networks.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling high‑performing account management or sales teams and managing cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of custom API integrations and experience collaborating with engineering and technology teams.
  • Experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools to enhance account manager effectiveness and enterprise pursuit capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products, underwriting dynamics, and distribution models.
  • Executive‑level communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Highly analytical with comfort using data, KPIs, and dashboards to drive decisions.
  • Strategic thinker who translates long‑term vision into executable plans.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment and influencing without direct authority.

Pay Range: $ - $ annually, based on experience and skill set.
