Assistant Maintenance Manager - JLL

This position leverages leadership and technical knowledge to lead a team of maintenance mechanics, working with robotics and controls technicians in a fast‑paced setting while ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Model safety standards and maintain an environment always focused on safety.
  • Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to develop skills and expand team capabilities.
  • Develop solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors, and be on‑call for emergencies.
  • Dedicate support to multi‑site production by working in a safe, customer‑focused manner.
  • Display energetic, self‑motivated and customer‑centric behaviors consistently.
  • Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meeting deadlines, and develop plans to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
  • Provide complete oversight of preventive maintenance for the facility and serve as the client point of contact during their shift.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts and alternative work schedules as needed.
  • Move throughout the facility extensively during shifts to attend to equipment and team members as needed.
Essential Functions
  • Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure all safety standards are met.
  • Meet operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor tracking.
  • Own scheduling and tracking completion of tickets.
  • Oversee building cleanliness.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Perform daily and weekly audits for cleanliness and work orders.
  • Implement preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs.
  • Maintain a client‑centric relationship with operational stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and tracking of budgets.
  • Assist in project planning and cost analysis.
  • Provide thorough feedback to enhance individual performance, and deliver written performance appraisals including discipline up to termination.
  • Promote and conduct good housekeeping.
  • Travel as required to support network needs.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and alternative work schedules as needed.
  • Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls.
  • Authorized to work within the hiring country without requiring current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience managing budgets and vendors.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) programs.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical Demands
  • Stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively during shifts.
  • Perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, sometimes up to 49 pounds.
  • Require dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet/manual picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
  • Work in environments that may include elevated heights, small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.

Estimated compensation:  –  USD per year.
