Position: IS Cntrct & Procur Spec I or II (Time Limited)

Job Definition

Supports IT Management and staff in reviewing, managing, and renewing vendor contracts through contract lifecycle management. The Specialist ensures adherence to policies, laws, and directives. Facilitates procurement of hardware, software, maintenance, and professional services through formal and informal processes such as Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and bids. The Specialist works primarily with contracts, cooperative contracts (e.g, NASPO, KCDA, etc.)

and online vendor terms to procure cloud / subscription services, professional services, and other miscellaneous services. On a smaller scale, the Specialist may help ITS managers procure on-premise ITS equipment and materials.

Experience / Education

IS Contract Procurement Specialist I (Hourly)

Minimum

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or related field

OR

  • Four (4) years of experience in contracts and procurement.

IS Contract Procurement Specialist II (Yearly)

Minimum

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or related field, AND
  • Two (2) years of experience in contracts and procurement;

OR

  • Six (6) years of experience in contracts and procurement.

Benefits Medical Employees have the flexibility to choose among several medical plan options – a preferred provider organization (PPO) plan and a high‑deductible health plan (HDHP) administered by Premera, and a health maintenance organization (HMO) plan administered by Kaiser Permanente.

Dental Employees may choose from two dental plans:
Delta Dental of Washington or Willamette Dental Group.

Long‑Term Disability (LTD) – LTD insurance is income protection in the event of disability due to injury or illness sustained either on or off the job. Employees are eligible to receive a monthly benefit of 50% of basic monthly earnings (to a maximum benefit of $10,000 per month) after a 90-calendar day waiting period is met.

Core Term Life Insurance Employees have 1x base salary, which provides a benefit to their named beneficiary upon their death.

Core Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – The PUD provides Core AD&D coverage, based on employees 1x base salary, which provides a benefit to their named beneficiary upon their death or dismemberment as a result of an accident.
