This position manages program delivery and contract administration for the Washington Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), a statewide initiative that expands capital access for small businesses using federal Treasury funds. The role oversees contract lifecycle activities, ensures federal and state compliance, monitors contractor performance, and serves as a liaison between the Department of Commerce and program administrators. The position directly impacts equitable economic development by supporting fiscal integrity and helping reduce barriers to credit for underserved businesses.
Keyqualifications
- Seven years of combined education and/or experience in community, trade, or economic development; or Associate's degree plus five years of professional experience; or Bachelor's degree plus three year
- Knowledge of federal and state grant and contract administration
- Experience collaborating with local, state, federal and non-profit partners
- Small business assistance experience
- Experience working with and providing technical assistance for rural communities
