Responsibilities- Create multilayered 2D and 3D architectural and mechanical drawings in AutoCAD detailing in plan, elevation and section a variety of custom fire-rated and non-fire-rated window and door frame products.
- Ensure on-time drawing delivery to Project Management and accuracy of output as measured through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Provide support to client, Project Management and production teams by creating drawings suitable for customer review, submittal to vendors for manufacturing, and final fabrication in house.
- Routinely produce detailed mechanical fabrication drawings demonstrating knowledge of fit, form and finish required for accurate manufacture.
- Maintain well organized data and files (both physically and electronically) including estimated and actual hours worked on projects and estimated project material costs to clearly communicate requirements to other departments.
- Balance competing demands of other duties and respond timely to requests for information or work product as needed by department manager or others.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Create system drawings for inclusion in bid proposals in support of development of project quotes.
- Contribute to process improvements leading to drafting department efficiencies, increased on-time delivery, and reduction of errors.
- Associate’s degree in a related specialty or combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Training in AutoCAD is essential and Revit a plus.
- One (1) year or more equivalent experience drafting, preferably in a construction or architectural environment and/or in the door and window industry.
- Ability to interact with peers, production employees and project managers in a professional and respectful manner.
- Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data.
- Carefully monitor process and organize systems of records.
- Acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly.
- Retain and apply acquired knowledge.
- Meet established project deliverables and deadlines.
- Acquire and use a broad range of professional, technical knowledge, skills, experience and judgment to accomplish the best result, serve customers effectively, and contribute to AD Systems organizational goals.

- Be proficient in MS Excel, using spreadsheet tools and formulas to manipulate and link data.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and a keyboard for extended periods of time on most or all workdays; the employee is also required to use a telephone throughout the workday as needed to conduct business. The individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress.
They must be able to work rapidly for long periods, to communicate and interact with others, and to perform multiple concurrent tasks. The employee must read and comprehend material, write, problem solve, and lift and move up to 20 pounds. Forty or more hours per week will typically be necessary to accomplish performance objectives and provide satisfactory job presence and/or responsiveness.

The expected base salary range is $60,000 - $75,000.
Employment type
is full-time, hourly non-exempt; 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime subject to manager approval.
