Position: PreK Teacher (3YO)

To help students master subject matter specified by the district's curriculum guides, to help students demonstrate that mastery as it relates to defined curriculum outcomes, and to help students develop into mature, able, and responsible citizens.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set high expectations for learning for all students based on their individual needs.
  • Monitor the progress of individual students and student groups through the use of appropriate testing techniques and with the assistance of technology when appropriate.
  • Create a safe and orderly environment that facilitates positive behavior and learning for all students.
  • Follow prescribed district curriculum guidelines.
  • Use a variety of instructional materials, activities, and approaches appropriate to the needs of individual learners.
  • Assist students in the development of appropriate communication skills.
  • Assist students in the development of thinking skills.
  • Develop and monitor plans of improvement for students who are academically deficient.
  • Support the mission of the school and district.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and expectations of academic achievement.
  • Facilitate cooperation between all persons in the school community.
  • Recognize the signs of emotional/physical distress in students and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Follow district policies, handbooks, practices, and regulations.
  • Supervise students adequately as assigned.
  • Use effective written and spoken language.
  • Understand and implement QPA or school improvement procedures according to building plans.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required by law, the Board of Education and/or administration according to required deadlines.
  • Follow established guidelines for purchasing materials and supplies with the prior approval of building administrator or supervisor.
  • Meet with administrator or supervisor as requested in a timely manner.
  • Perform such other tasks and/or duties as may be assigned by a supervisor or district administrator in conformance with applicable district and/or board policies.

Salary Information

USD 350 offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The board provides a full single health insurance premium for the Blue Cross Blue Shield $800 deductible plan for full time employees.
