Volunteer Athletic Coach
Volunteers are identified as individuals who are approved by the district to assist in the work at a school or other district site. Volunteers serve without compensation.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Exceptions:
- Everett Public Schools students may volunteer at a school or district‑sanctioned activity as part of their learning. Student volunteers do not need to complete the volunteer application.
- Former students of Everett Public Schools may volunteer in schools but cannot volunteer at the high school they attended until they turn 21. Former students under 21 may volunteer as tutors in AVID classrooms.
A volunteer works under the direction and supervision of a district staff member and will receive specific instructions and necessary materials for assignments or tasks they undertake.
Volunteers are not substitutes for staff members, but provide supplemental and supportive services.
Condition for PlacementAll K‑12 school district employees, per Governor Jay Inslee's mandate, are required to be vaccinated for COVID‑19 or obtain a medical or religious exemption, as a condition of employment.
Nondiscrimination StatementEverett Public Schools does not discriminate in any programs or activities on the basis of sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, veteran or military status, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal. The school provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups. The following employees have been designated to handle questions and complaints of alleged discrimination.
