Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role preferred
• Knowledge of educational practices and an understanding of student support needs
• Ability to assist with both instructional and behavioral initiatives
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both staff and students
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of Para educator Certificate or similar credential is a plus
• Adaptability and patience when working with students of varying abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teachers in classroom and small group settings to support lesson plans and individual student needs
• Provide one-on-one or small group academic assistance and encourage student engagement
• Help implement behavior management strategies and support positive classroom dynamics
• Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment, adapting to the unique learning styles of each child
• Record observations, progress, and communicate effectively with educators regarding student development
