Position: Youth Fitness Coach, KidStrong

Overview

Kid Strong is a science-based kids training program that helps parents build stronger, smarter, and more athletic children. We provide weekly classes led by expert coaches for children up to age 11.

Role & Schedule
  • Coaching requires an athletic or coaching background; ideally experience coaching children up to 11 years old.
  • Focus on the Kid Strong curriculum for brain, physical, and character development.
  • Class times: weekdays 9am‑11am and 3pm‑7pm; weekends 8am‑3:30pm.
  • Flexible work schedule based on center needs.
  • Opportunity to increase hours through private party coaching.
Coach Responsibilities
  • Manage class sizes of 6‑15 children (ages 12 months‑11 years).
  • Teach the Kid Strong curriculum per HQ team instructions.
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule and maintain curriculum pace.
  • Greet students and parents prior to class.
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate and manage various exercises.
  • Keep the center clean.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide parent reports.
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers.
  • Complete trainings as directed.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment, moving equipment up to 25 lb.
  • Use hands‑on supervision to ensure student safety.
  • Assist parents of students 3 and under with class flow.
  • Attend monthly staff programming meetings and mandatory extra meetings.
  • Optionally, manage Coach Kid Strong Camp during school breaks.
Job Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Preferred prior experience coaching in the appropriate age range.
  • CPR certified.
  • Positive, motivating, effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self‑starter who gets jobs done.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisors, but mentors others. Good communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Sphere of Interaction

Coaches work closely with center leadership, families, and the HQ team.
