This is a 4 hour per day, 180 days per year, Para educator/Office Assistant II/Nutrition Service I position with benefits at Olivia Park Elementary School. Anticipated start date is September 1, 2026. Hours for this position are 8:35 a.m.
- 1:05 p.m. and includes 30 minutes of unpaid time. The successful candidate must meet qualifications for the Para educator, Office Assistant II and Nutrition Service I positions. Dual MESP/MACP position. Rate of pay for positions:
Para educator (1.5 hours): $29.05 - $39.07/hour Office Assistant II (2 hours): $29.40 - $33.99/hour Nutrition Service I (0.5 hours): $25.33 - $29.14/hour Hourly salary ranges listed are 2025-26 rates.

Principal JOB SUMMARY (OFFICE ASSISTANT):
Perform a variety of clerical duties to assist students, staff, and parents and the general public. JOB SUMMARY (PARA EDUCATOR):
Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school. May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (OFFICE ASSISTANT):
* Provide clerical support, answer phones; respond to inquiries from staff, parents, students and general public; direct inquiries to appropriate personnel; schedule appointments; and assist with other duties as directed for the purpose of providing quality customer service.
* Process various documents and perform functions such as process mail and respond to inquiries; prepare and mail correspondence; responsible for a variety of information record keeping i.e., fiscal and/or student records; document filing, tracking information, data entry, etc.
* May assist with student health needs.
* May serve as a designated first aid provider.
* May assist with supervision and monitoring of students.
* Word process, type, copy, collate, sort, file and distribute documents to support the efficient operation of school office services.
* Prioritize and organize tasks for the purpose of meeting deadlines, accessibility of information, and completing job duties in a timely manner.
* Comply with District Policies.
* Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor(s) for the purpose of maintaining an organized and efficient environment. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (PARA EDUCATOR):
* Assist teacher(s) with the daily supervision of students for the purpose of maintaining and providing a safe and positive learning environment.
* Under the teacher's direction, administer multiple student tests, collect and maintain diagnostic and test data, update student records, and assess student progress.
* Assist teacher(s) with monitoring and managing student behavior and progress; share observations with teacher(s) and other professional staff.
* Assist teacher(s) with implementation of various strategies to address diverse student needs and support individual educational growth and achievement goals.
* Provide clerical and general classroom assistance for staff, which may include collection and data entry of information, correspondence, copying, filing, and preparation of classroom materials.
* Administer first aid, medical assistance, physical support and personal care for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile, and/or disabled children.
* Provide physical assistance for students with special needs such as feeding, toileting, proper lifting and positioning of students in and out of chairs and with adaptive equipment; assist students with the use specific equipment related to their disability (e.g., materials, assistive technology, visual aids).
