The Learning Success Advisor is required to deliver learning support and training with a commencement of ASAP until 31 December 2026

The Learning Success Advisor is a member of a team of specialist professional staff focusing on student facing support responsible for the facilitation of post-entry academic language and learning support initiatives for all students (domestic and international) and contributes to the University’s strategic initiatives for the provision of learning support.

The Learning Success Advisor works in partnership with faculties, schools, and the library to facilitate the development of discipline specific integrated and embedded programs, develop and evaluate resources for learning skills programs, provide groups and individual learning skills sessions, contribute to the development and delivery of peer-learning initiatives, advise students on personalised learning plans and direct students to relevant learning support resources, monitor student engagement via the centralised learning support portal, administer online diagnostic tools and milestone tasks and contribute to the development of plans, strategies and procedures in line with the University’s strategy.

The Centre for English Teaching (CET) + Learning Hub is a high-functioning, dynamic and diverse unit. An innovative, proactive, collaborative team member with highly developed digital literacy skills and extensive knowledge of e-learning will be required.

Your key responsibilities will be:to deliver learning support, advising and training activities to students, peer-facilitators and staffto contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of post-entry academic language and learning support initiatives for all students (domestic and international) to work collaboratively with the Learning Hub Lead and team of Learning Success Advisors, Educational Designer and colleagues across CET + Learning Hub to ensure coordinated and effective contribution to the learning support programs and initiatives offered and alignment with the University’s strategic educational objectives to engage with relevant stakeholders in the library, faculties, Educational Innovation, Student Life and the wider Education portfolio to engage in and contribute to continuing professional development within the CET + Learning Hub unit and externally to ensure implementation of best practice in post-entry academic language and learning supportto contribute to and engage actively with the post-entry academic language and learning community beyond the University to further the reputation of the University in the field.

You will have Demonstrated excellence in developing and facilitating high-quality, innovative programs to support post-entry academic language and learning in a higher education environment.

Demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of effective educational practice in the post-entry, higher education space, including through the use of educational technologies

Demonstrated experience with relevant online learning design principles and educational technology platforms to deliver learning support and track student learning.

Demonstrated experience using innovative educational technology platforms to facilitate language and communication support to diverse cohorts of students.

Demonstrated advanced computer literacy and willingness and ability to quickly adapt to new computer systems/programs.

Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, implementing improvements and meeting deadlines

Demonstrated strong collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to work in a collegial manner as well as demonstrated capacity for effective contribution as a team member
