About the Position:
The Woodring College of Education offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate teacher certification programs in Bellingham, Bremerton, and Everett. The Office of Field Experiences (OFE) oversees all student teaching placements and supervision and maintains an active vacancy pool for qualified Non-Tenure-Track University Intern Coordinators (NTT UICs) to supervise the student teaching candidates. The NTT UIC positions are temporary, part‑time and based upon the needs of the unit for supervision.

Responsibilities

NTT UICs supervise teacher education candidates and collaborate with school personnel in the evaluation, support, and mentoring of each candidate.

NTT UICs responsibilities include a minimum number of hours of observation, mentoring, collaboration, completion of internship evaluations, and submission of all required documents and evaluations to OFE. Training is provided.

Job Location:

Primarily Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, King, Pierce, and Kitsap counties; possible need in other counties within the State of Washington.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus graduate credits
  • Experience in the appropriate educational field (teaching and/or administrative)
  • Evidence of accomplished pre K‑12 teaching
  • Successful experience working with diverse populations
  • Formal or informal mentoring/coaching training received or provided, with demonstrated ability to provide such training
Preferred Qualifications
  • Evidence of successful intern supervision experience
  • Successful experience working with adult learners
Conditions of Employment

Compensation

Compensation is calculated at 0.8 credits per student. Starting pay is $1,027 – $1,055 per credit, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Applications are accepted continuously for potential NTT faculty openings; please apply at your earliest convenience. Vacancy pool closes no later than December 31, 2026.
