Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe play environment, instructing small groups, engaging in activities with kids such as coloring, table games, gym games, puzzle building and reading aloud
• The ability to multi-task and problem solve are essential to this position
• Supervising children while supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs, reinforcing and modeling appropriate behaviors
• Assist in planning and carrying out a daily schedule designed to meet the needs of a group of children which includes play, transitions, snack, quiet time and gym time
• The ideal candidate for this position must be sensitive to the needs of individual children and possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both children and adults. Being a team player is essential!
• Assure that equipment and materials are accessible, appropriate and in good condition
• Perform daily classroom cleaning and other maintenance duties as requested.

Position Type: After school/Evening

Salary: $17 to $20 Per Hour

• Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of early child development and age appropriate behaviors
  • Experience in leading groups of children
  • Passing a background check and fingerprinting with ESD 112
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework in Human Development or related courses
  • CPR Certification
• At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
