Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center founded in 1978 that serves diverse communities, with a focus on Latino populations in Washington State.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of a program manager, this full‑time position provides comprehensive lead case management services for high school dropouts aged 16‑21 in the Youth Re‑Engagement (U3) program located at Everett Community College.

Schedule:

M–Th 7:30AM–5PM, F 8AM–12PM; flexible depending on program needs. Starting wage: $27.08 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in outreach, recruitment and assessment activities.
  • Assess applicants to determine program eligibility.
  • Complete enrollment and registration documentation and testing.
  • Provide case management to a large number of students to identify barriers to school success and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Assist youth in gaining access to services as needed.
  • Provide transportation if required.
  • Meet with instructors to assist struggling students and create a plan for success.
  • Monitor student attendance and educational progress.
  • Teach a Career Development class, including curriculum creation and revision.
  • Provide academic advising for all U3 students.
  • Complete transcript evaluations as needed.
  • Attend campus meetings, trainings and other assignments.
  • Facilitate informational meetings for the general public.
  • Conduct orientations for prospective students, including testing.
  • Maintain accurate files, case notes and required documents for each student.
  • Attend U3 team, agency and staff meetings and other community meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager or designee.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of college resources, testing, general practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of local youth resources.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and case notes.
  • Ability to academically advise a large number of students.
  • Knowledge of and experience with community college enrollment and registration procedures.
  • Flexibility and ability to work a non‑traditional schedule.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Computer literate.
Education and Experience
  • AA degree required; BA in human services preferred.
  • Three plus years of experience working with at‑risk youth ages 16‑21.
  • Three years of experience working with community college counselors to help youth access and complete two‑year college degrees.
  • Experience writing curriculum and preparing training materials for underserved students.
  • Experience working in a college environment.
  • Experience creating or revising high school curricula.
  • Experience teaching in a college setting.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Pre‑hire and annual TB test screening required.
  • Annual employee health screening, TB test and influenza vaccine required.
Additional Requirements
  • Complete a pre‑hire and annual TB test screening.
  • Annual TB test and influenza vaccine required; exemption allowed for medical or religious reasons with mask during flu season.
  • Adhere to Sea Mar Employee Health Screening and Infection Control policies.

Work Environment

The position involves work in group office and classroom settings on a community college campus, independent field locations, occasional outdoor outreach events, and may require travel to local high schools or community agencies.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular public speaking and conference attendance.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
  • Drive routinely to field locations.
Compensation

Hourly rate: $27.08 per hour.
