Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
• Any additional certifications required for Special Education instruction
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusivity

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with students' IEPs
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, specialists, and families
• Create a positive, engaging classroom climate that supports all learners
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to address varying student strengths and challenges
• Monitor, track, and report on student progress and performance
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities

This is a full-time, contracted position, working 35 hours per week onsite in a vibrant school community. Your expertise will provide essential continuity for students and staff, making a notable difference during this vital period.
