Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Washington State Special Education Certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
• Familiarity with caseload management for elementary students
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
• Willingness to travel between school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in the K-4th ACCESS program
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with district guidelines
• Collaborate with classroom educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive learning environments
• Engage in regular team meetings and indirect hours for documentation and administrative tasks
• Communicate proactively with families and caregivers to foster student success
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities provided by the district
• Maintain up-to-date student records and data, adapting programs as students grow
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere sensitive to each learner’s unique needs
