Senior Systems Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Systems Engineer and lead the design of cutting-edge civil and military avionics display systems that pilot the world’s aircraft.

What You Will Do:

Solve complex challenges with elegant solutions as you architect modern avionics display systems. You'll be the core driver of system development – from initial concept through certification – building products that keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead design initiatives to develop hardware and software architectures that meet performance requirements and safety standards
• Own the full systems engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through validation, verification, and integration with customer systems
• Enable certification success by managing ARP
  4754, DO-254, and DO-178 derived processes and associated artifacts
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
• Ensure product development compliance by staying current with international regulations, certification pathways, and avionics industry trends
• Collaborate across disciplines coordinating with engineering, test, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver exceptional results
• Drive innovation by independently and proactively identifying and implementing process improvements

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematics, or related aerospace engineering discipline

Preferred Experience:

• 7 + years of experience designing systems for aerospace or other highly regulated industries
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with knowledge of the full lifecycle produce development process
• Technical expertise in avionics architecture, human-systems interfaces, digital data buses, electronics design, and/or embedded software
• Certification experience with industry standards, preferably including DO-160, DO-254, DO-178, ARP 4754, and FAR regulations

Preferred Specialized

Skills and Abilities

:

• Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human-systems interface design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture
• Experienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verification
• Working knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, including FARs and Regulatory Guidance, assurance standards and methods: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and/or ARP 4754
• Certification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO
• Skilled in requirements management, and experience with DOORS
• Model Based Design experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
• Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computers.
• The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office
• Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range:

Please note the typical hiring range is $123,250- $200,100 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
