Boeing's Safety, Security, & Airworthiness (SSA) organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Compliance/Certification to join their Regulatory Administration System Oversight Team in Everett, WA
.

The individual will have the opportunity to contribute to critical monitoring initiative and collaborate with industry – leading professional and regulatory agencies.

• Leads the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Reviews complex regulatory and customer requirements and develop monitoring strategies (i.e., Certification).
• Leads analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Develop the planning and implementation of monitoring strategies.
• Research, investigates and monitors compliance processes for achieving regulatory compliance and recommends and leads process improvements, risk and opportunities.
• Engages with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.
• Develops and reviews complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.
• Leads establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

• 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 8+ years of experience working across the certification value stream.
• Experience working in International Type Validation and/or Operational Certification
• 4+ years of experience with certification processes to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95 and 21.97
• Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impacts
• Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization
• Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues
• Strong technical writing abilities
• Experience extracting and compiling data from multiple sources
• Experience with analytics tools including Tableau, SQL, R, and Python

• 8+ years of experience identifying key stakeholder project specific requirements and scope, then building and managing project plans
• 8+ years of experience in business intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
• Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex systems
• Experience with Risk Management
• Experience with audit activities
• Experience with Functional Decomposition
• Firsthand experience with airplane requirements
