OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Flight Control Systems Integration and Safety Engineer to support our team in Everett, Washington. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

We are looking for a Senior Flight Control Systems Integration and Safety Engineer to support our team in Everett, Washington.
Responsibilities- Decomposes airplane level requirements into system level requirements and further decomposes system level requirements into component requirements
- Participates in and/or lead system, component and detail certification efforts, including: creation of required certification artifacts, such as, system safety analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and fault tree analysis; confirming and demonstrating traceability to regulatory requirements; and resolution of regulation conflicts.
- Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition.
- Resolves requirement conflicts. Performs and documents analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models.
- Participates in and/or lead system level and component level validation analysis and testing, including: test monitoring; analysis and test report authoring; supplier test report review and approval; test failure analysis; and test failure mitigation.
- Generally, these activities require successful cross-functional coordination within: avionics, pilot/crew operations, airplane safety, aerodynamics, BCA systems software, suppliers, airline customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Develops solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction.
- Works under general direction.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 5-7 years of technical experience working with Flight Controls
- 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with System Safety Analysis including failure modes and effects analysis; fault tree analysis; common cause analysis, and single & multiple failure analysis
- Knowledge/Experience with ARP 4754 and ARP 4761
- Experience with flight controls system and component architecture
- Experience in requirements development, design, analysis, and verification & validation of flight control systems
- Experience using requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
- Experience with manufacturing regulated and certified, safety critical components and software
