Pay Rate: $80 – $82 per hour (W2 / Contract)
BCA In-Service Safety Organization is seeking an Airworthiness & Regulatory Specialist (Mid to Senior Level) to join the Safety & Compliance Investigations (S&CI) team in Everett, WA.
This role focuses on aircraft safety, FAA regulatory compliance, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations across aircraft Commercial Airplanes programs.
You will investigate complex regulatory compliance issues, identify systemic root causes, and drive corrective actions to ensure continued airworthiness and safety compliance across aircraft lifecycle programs.
- Lead investigations related to FAA Letters of Investigation, Voluntary Disclosures, and airworthiness non-compliance issues
- Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) using aircraft Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
- Identify systemic root causes and develop containment and corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering teams (Systems, Structures, Avionics, Propulsion)
- Work with FAA Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) for compliance validation
- Communicate investigation status to leadership, engineering teams, and regulators
- Ensure timely closure of compliance issues and prevention of recurrence
- Support continuous improvement of safety and compliance processes
- 10+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent education/experience combination
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical investigations
- Experience interacting with senior leadership and technical stakeholders
- Strong ownership and execution mindset
- Experience with RCCA tools (5-Whys, Fishbone) or aircraft Problem Solving Model (BPSM)
- Experience in FAA regulatory compliance or aircraft certification processes
- Exposure to commercial aircraft systems (Flight Controls, Avionics, Hydraulics, etc.)
- Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
- Pilot License or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (nice to have)
