We are seeking an engaged and motivated Associate or Mid‑Level Flight Deck Design Engineer to join a team of highly skilled engineers role will apply technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality to positively impact the design of Flight Decks from initial development through certification, delivery, and in‑service support.
Position Responsibilities- Lead work with internal customers and suppliers to develop and document component and detail design efforts, complex mechanical and electrical system requirements, and thorough documentation within schedule and cost constraints.
- Use model‑based engineering software and numerical analysis to create design solutions.
- Lead cross‑functional technical coordination internally and externally with manufacturing, crew‑ops, airplane safety, supply chain, software, suppliers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Identify problems, perform root‑cause corrective analysis, and implement corrective actions using the BPSM methodology.
- Provide support to Factory and Flight Line to resolve emergent issues.
- Develop Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Specification Control Documents/Drawings (SCD).
- Develop requirements and design considerations that support program objectives and data integrity, including fault trees analysis (FTA) and system safety analysis (SSA).
- Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, software designs, and interface specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance.
- Resolve issues concerning fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Research technological advances for potential application to company needs.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent accredited program.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Experience with PDM, CATIA, and ENOVIA.
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
Duration: 12 months. Onsite location:
Everett, WA (Building 40‑86). Full‑time, 1st shift (7 – 3). No 9x80 work schedule. No overtime required.
