Technical Design -Liaison

We are seeking highly skilled Technical Designers to join our team. This role involves supporting on-site operations at our locations in Washington. The successful candidate will apply fundamental drafting principles and design concepts to address product and process issues in real-time. This is an expert-level position that requires a strong understanding of design, drafting, and engineering principles.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting classification
• Basic understanding and usage of computer-aided design
• Basic understanding of design product structure (details, parts, assemblies, installations)
• Understanding of machining of metallic parts
• 9 years of experience working with aerospace design, including experience with detail and assembly parts
• CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience
• Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) use and experience
• Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years

• Project management experience working with projects at various stages and coordinating with multiple organizations
• Experience working in lab environments

• Provide materials and process support to commercial airplane programs and systems design teams throughout the full life cycle of the airplane
• Review electrical component materials and process specifications and other engineering documents
• Identify impacts of non-conformances and develop corrective/preventative actions
• Conduct engineering lab/failure analysis to determine cause and corrective action of failed electrical components
• Lead or collaborate with multiple engineering teams to solve a variety of materials and process challenges
• Produce requirements, specifications, and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes
