Payloads Design Engineer (Associate, Experienced, Senior)
The Boeing Company’s 777‑8F Payloads organization is seeking experienced Payloads Design Engineers to support Cargo System Development. Candidates will work within a cross‑functional team to define, integrate, and verify Cargo Handling System requirements, manage supplier performance, and support the product through production and certification.
Position OverviewEngineers will apply systems engineering principles (ARP
4754), FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA standards, and industry best practices to deliver compliant cargo systems for the 777‑8F aircraft. Responsibilities include requirement definition, analysis, test oversight, supplier coordination, and project management in the production and certification lifecycle.
- Develop, integrate and document Cargo Handling System requirements to establish the system design.
- Lead review of Boeing and supplier requirements using systems engineering principles and ARP
4754 to demonstrate regulatory compliance. - Perform or oversee approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Manage supplier performance, test and production activities, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals.
- Act as a liaison between project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences).
- Minimum 2+ years experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years experience in engineering (design, integration, certification) or 9+ years including systems and program management.
- Strong understanding of FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA standards.
- Experience in aerospace systems engineering, interiors design criteria, and design release processes.
- Experience in program or project management, leading proposals, schedule milestones, financial assessments, and risk management.
- Leadership of cross‑functional teams; excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous personal learning and development.
Location:
Everett, WA (relocation may be offered). Full‑time position. The role supports the 777‑8F Cargo System Development and requires the ability to work remotely and in a team‑centered environment.

- Associate (Level
2): $96,300 – $117,700 - Experienced (Level
3): $117,900 – $144,100 - Senior (Level
4): $143,100 – $174,900
