Position Overview
The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team is seeking an Airworthiness & Regulatory Specialist to join the KC-46 Tanker team in Everett, Washington. The successful candidate will provide certification engineering support for various Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and ODA activities, including applying FAA 14 CFR Part 25 knowledge to address certification challenges and providing expertise on both ATC and STC projects.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) programs on behalf of the ODA.
- Coordinate with program engineering and multiple discipline organizations to ensure successful execution.
- Manage certification tasks on behalf of the FAA.
- Review certification plans and other certification artifacts on behalf of the ODA Project Administrator.
- Work with the Tanker program to develop materials for FAA meetings.
- Manage FAA correspondence and meeting minutes.
- Support resolution of technical and certification issues on behalf of the ODA.
- Be knowledgeable in ODA procedures and processes.
- Educate program engineering on certification requirements and processes.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Level 3: 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and familiarity with FAA processes and procedures and ODA and Applicant roles.
- Experience with project management and self‑managing projects.
- Experience in leading cross‑functional teams.
- Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 5: 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in leadership, either formally or informally, leading teams.
- Experience working with Design Engineering and Regulatory through all phases of certification;
Amended Type Certification (ATC), Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Military Type Certification (MTC). - Experience working with KC-46 or a comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform.
- Ability to adapt to changing scope, responsibilities and job requirements.

Pay & BenefitsPay Range:
Level 3: $102,000 - $138,000
Level 4: $127,500 - $172,500
Level 5: $159,800 - $216,200
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities are provided.
