This role supports operations in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes Liaison Engineering Organization. The engineer represents engineering on the factory floor, transforming design into reality, and collaborating closely with production personnel. The position is fully onsite and involves daily exposure to a factory environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, conduct root‑cause assessment, and develop dispositions for production non‑conformances.
- Apply Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Research technical, operational, and quality issues to support final engineering solutions.
- Identify documents, analyze reported problems, and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolution.
- Develop and implement product/process improvements.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews.
- Represent engineering from initial build through production and post‑production environments.
- Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
- Develop customer correspondence for safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in on‑site defective product repair teams, accident investigations, and support teams.
- Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking, shoring, and safety controls.
- Design interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
- Develop non‑destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent directly related to the work statement.
- 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering (Associate level).
- 5+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering (Mid‑Career).
- 9+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering (Senior).
- 2+ years of experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) activities related to aircraft systems or structures.
- Hands‑on experience with materials and manufacturing processes.
- Participation in the approximately 9‑month Boeing Company Training Rotation Program, which may involve assignments to first, second, or third shift, as well as weekend or daily overtime.
- Possible travel between Boeing Puget Sound sites during the training rotation.
- Shift: 2 (United States of America).
- Union represented position; covered by SPEEA collective bargaining agreement where applicable.

Competitive base pay with variable compensation opportunities. Salary ranges are as follows:- Associate (Level
2): $90,950 – $123,050 - Mid‑Level (Level
3): $111,350 – $150,650 - Senior (Level
4): $135,150 – $182,850
