Project Surveyor – WA

Everett, WA. Reid Middleton, Inc. is a civil and structural engineering and surveying firm with a 73‑year history of service to public and private clients throughout the western United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, and internationally. Headquartered in Everett, WA with offices in San Diego, CA and Anchorage, AK.

The Project Surveyor will coordinate and direct survey technicians and field crews to ensure projects are completed within technical, project, budgetary, and time constraints. The Project Surveyor will assist the Survey Manager in the organization and completion of proposals and projects.

• Professional Land Surveyor license
• 5 years or more experience in positions of increasing responsibility
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• This position requires performing physical labor including strenuous walking, digging, staking, and lifting; must lift 50 pounds
• Must have a valid WA driver’s license and be able to obtain a Flaggers card
• Must be willing to work out of town at times

• Recent land surveying experience in a leadership role including hands‑on experience with topographic, construction, and boundary surveys
• Experience must include creating legal descriptions and easement exhibits, preparing and documenting land boundary surveys, computing points and linework, and directing field efforts, including field work when warranted
• Must be well‑versed in field and office work required for the creation of topographic base maps and data preparation for field use
• Experience with Drone/UAV and laser scanning technologies a plus
