Position OverviewWe are looking for an Experienced Electromagnetic Effects Engineer (Level
3) to join the Boeing Electromagnetic Effects (EME) team in Everett, WA. The role supports a variety of Boeing Commercial Airplanes programs from the 737 to the 787 and beyond. Responsibilities include translating concepts and high‑level requirements into specific architectures, operational specifications, and ensuring designs are validated through analysis, laboratory testing, and flight testing. The engineer works with systems engineers from initial concept through certification, delivery, and continued enhancement throughout the life of the airline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate requirements for communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
- Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures.
- Design architectures to integrate systems and components into higher‑level systems and platforms, performing trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs against requirements.
- Manage supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Provide support throughout the product lifecycle, including root‑cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support upon request.
- Work under general direction.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- At least 2 years of experience in EME qualification, production support, design, test, or analysis.
- Degree concentration in physics, electrical, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering.
- Experience working in a laboratory test environment.
- Experience with federal regulations and certifications.
- Experience in commercial or military airplane maintenance and/or modification.
- Education or experience with electromagnetic theory and advanced mathematics required for electromagnetic analysis, design, modeling, and testing.

Pay Range- Experienced (Level
3): $120,000 – $162,000
