BCA In-Service Safety Organization is looking for an Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our team in Everett, Washington. Are you passionate about safety and compliance? Would you like to contribute to the world’s safest transportation system? As an engineer in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Safety and Compliance Investigations (S&CI) team, you will work independently while leading teams tasked with performing detailed Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance issues.

Investigations follow the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and involve engagement with company leadership, certification experts, and functional experts from across the company.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead functional engineering organizations through the structured investigation process for issues related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Formal/Informal Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, Self‑Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non‑Compliances.
  • Coordinate with Boeing functional groups, management, executives, and suppliers to ensure alignment on investigation status and resolution.
  • Investigate regulatory compliance issues by identifying problem statements, developing comprehensive root cause investigations, creating containment and non‑recurrence actions.
  • Ensure investigation write‑ups meet regulatory expectations in partnership with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA).
  • Partner with enterprise groups to continuously improve processes and tools, ensuring consistency with the greater Boeing Enterprise.

Location:

Everett, WA. 100% onsite required; virtual work may be available for candidates with significant capability.

Export Control compliance requires the candidate to be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry from an accredited program.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools such as 5‑Whys or Fishbone, and/or the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).
  • 1+ year experience with commercial airplane operation, certification, safety requirements and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FAA Regulatory Compliance and ODA procedures per 8100.15.
  • 1+ year experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies.
  • 1+ year experience with Commercial Airplane‑Systems design or analysis (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels) or Systems Integration.
  • Pilot’s license.
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
Typical Education & Experience

Mid‑Level (Level
3):
Advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) plus at least 5 years of related work experience or equivalent. ABET accreditation is preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate: $60 per hour
Max Pay Rate: $65 per hour
Currency: USD
Unit: hourly
