Job Title: Technical Design 3 – Interiors (Payloads)
Pay Rate: $49/hr on W2
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Duration: 6 Months
Position OverviewThe Payloads Organization is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to join the team in Everett, WA. You will support airplane interior systems—including passenger cabins, cargo compartments, exterior markings, and cabin safety—throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves customer configuration development, design requirement verification, supplier engagement, and production/certification support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements.
- Maintain and modify interior payload component designs using 3D CAD tools (CATIA).
- Create design tools and processes to optimize development efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with production engineering, management, and technical teams to deliver compliant interior solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical field.
- U.S. Person status (required for export compliance).
- Ability to complete required on-the-job/classroom training upon start.
- Associate Degree or higher in a technical discipline.
- 2+ years of technical design, 3D modeling, and technical integration experience.
- Experience with CATIA, aerospace interiors, materials, design criteria, and release processes.
- Knowledge of Visual Basic, Python, Java, Model-Based Design, Systems Engineering, or Relational Design.
